Originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, Blair is a graduate of C.E. Byrd High School. After earning his B.S. from Vanderbilt University, Blair worked in the Washington, D.C. office of United States Senator J. Bennett Johnston then in the office of United States Senator Mary L. Landrieu. After returning to Louisiana to study law at Tulane University, Blair began working as an Assistant District Attorney in Jefferson Parish under District Attorney, Paul D. Connick, Jr.. As an Assistant District Attorney, Blair tried numerous cases before both judges and juries. After his admission to practice law in Mississippi, Blair commenced a practice focused on civil defense of nursing homes throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. He has handled many cases for numerous nursing homes in medical review panels and trials. Currently, his practice is a general practice for various business entities and individuals, and a select criminal defense practice. Blair sits ad hoc as Justice of the Peace in the Fifth Justice Court, Parish of Jefferson, State of Louisiana, and he serves as a Traffic Hearing Officer in First Parish Court, Jefferson Parish, State of Louisiana. |
